Sthira Bhaga (स्थिर भग) is the Sanskrit name for the Ashtanga Advanced (3rd) Series A. The term is often translated as “strength and grace,” but also as “divine stability” and “sublime serenity.”

Ignite the Fire

One hour and fifteen minutes of ignited, inspired practiced of synchronized breath, movements and Swadhyaya. Postures are sequenced within the Ashtanga system consisting of primary to intermediate Fundamentals. This class is designed to promote to the focus of Yoga as a life long practice, as a life path. Embodying and cultivating awareness with our patience to hard work growing stamina, energy, focus, mind and body strength. In this class we partake in the study of Tristana which is Dristi (focus), Ujjayi (ocean breath) and Bandhas (diaphragm locks) and yoga philosophy and lifestyle. Come prepared to sweat , heal, and experience lasting transformation.

Christina is dedicated to the practice and to the teaching of the method of Ashtanga Yoga. Her teaching is full of love and inspiration. She has the ability to see the individual characteristics of her students and guide them to develop their own strengths, health and wellness. Christina supports her students to go beyond, deeper into their practice with dedication and trust. Christina is also an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and founded Shala Santosha Yoga which is a registered school RYT200 with Yoga Alliance.
